The construction work of Saudi Arabia's future city 'The Line' has started.
The city is part of Saudi Arabia's multi-billion-dollar project Neom, which will be built in the northwestern region near the Red Sea.
New drone footage shows the city being excavated in the desert.
To be built in Tabuk province, this city will consist of a building 200 meters wide, 500 meters high, and spread over an area of 170 km, in which 9 million people will be able to live.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman released the city's design in July 2022.
It will be the first city in the world to meet its energy needs from environmentally friendly sources including solar and hydrogen power.

There will be no roads, vehicles, or emissions, while high-speed trains will allow people to travel from one place to another within 20 minutes.
Introducing the design, the Saudi crown prince said in his statement that this design challenges traditional architecture, The Line will address the challenges that humans face in today's urban life and alternative means. You will get a chance to live.
